Carbon fibre and compositesCarbon fibre and composites, made to measure.
Artifex designs and makes carbon fibre and glass fibre parts for prototypes, small runs and one-offs: laminates on 3D printed moulds, forged carbon, CNC-cut sheets and parts printed in carbon-filled engineering polymers. You get light, stiff components without paying for the moulds of industrial production.
01
Carbon laminated on 3D printed moulds
The mould is designed and 3D printed, then carbon or glass fabric is laminated with resin. It's the fastest route to covers, fairings, shells and cosmetic parts in real carbon, without metal moulds.
02
Forged carbon
Forged carbon, with short fibres pressed in a mould, gives the typical marbled surface: for design objects, accessories, gifts and details that are meant to stand out.
03
CNC-cut carbon and G10 sheets
Plates, frames, brackets and components cut from carbon fibre or glass fibre (G10) sheets, CNC machined with extraction and protection. See CNC milling.
04
When carbon-filled 3D printing is enough
For many technical parts, a carbon-fibre-filled nylon 3D print is enough: stiff, light and much cheaper than a laminate. The differences are in the materials guide.
05
How the work is done
Every composite project starts with tests on samples of the material and finish, approved before production. The quote includes moulds, materials and tests, so you know from the start what you are getting.
FAQ
Which technique suits my part?
It depends on shape, loads, quantity and finish: a cosmetic shell is laminated, a plate is cut from sheet, a technical part is often printed in carbon-filled material. We assess it together.
Do you make structural parts?
Parts that carry significant loads or need certification require a dedicated structural design: it's assessed case by case, and if it isn't the right solution, I'll tell you.
Can I get a sample?
Yes, a sample of the finish is approved before production.
