With CNC milling and laser, Artifex makes custom parts and personalises objects in series: solid wood shaped on both sides, aluminium parts, carbon fibre plates, panels, engravings with your logo. You get precise, repeatable parts, finished by hand, from a single piece to several hundred.

Hand finishing

Machines give precision and repeatability; hand finishing gives the result you feel in your hand: sanding, natural oils and waxes for wood, fitting leather and accessories.

FAQ

Can you engrave my logo on objects I already have?

Often yes: it depends on the material and the shape of the object. Send me a photo and I'll let you know.

How thick can you cut?

On the laser, in the studio, thin woods such as plywood up to 5 mm; thicker material is CNC milled. For acrylic, large formats and metals I work with partners who have more powerful lasers.

Do you work steel?

Yes, through specialist partners for laser cutting, bending and fabrication: you still get it from Artifex, with one point of contact. In the studio I engrave treated steel and machine aluminium and brass directly on the CNC.
